CRUISE SHIP ADVERTISING
Cruise ship advertising in the 1930's, relied on artistic illustrations of exotic places and peoples to persuade would-be travellers to book their passage and explore new and exciting holiday horizons.
Burns Philp and Orient Line were two major shipping lines who commissioned Walter Jardine - 'a prolific ad designer known for his masterful brush work and iconic style' to illustrate many of these adventure cruises of the day.
