From 1937 to 1952 Walter Jardine was commissioned to produce illustrations for the Royal Agricultural Society NSW to advertise The Royal Agricultural Shows, still held annually in Sydney Australia. This image produced for the 1941 show details a background of the main arena and surrounding buildings, and highlights the grand parade in the central arena. (Enlarge the image between the horse's feet to see the minute detail). Each year the illustrations portrayed different themes and features, capturing the heritage of the RAS shows. Further examples will be included in future print releases. © Walter Jardine Estate.
